with Mie Neko & Catherine
Most of the time, we use our suspension lines to pull or twist the body by going straight to our suspension point. In this workshop, we will explore the possibilities of creating interesting shapes and turns by using our suspension lines directly on the body to manipulate it. This technique not only results in visually captivating poses but also introduces a new, intense sensation on the body, opening up new possibilities for creative rope work.

Mie Neko, a rope switch from Germany, began her rope journey in 2017. Since 2020, she's expanded into teaching and performing at national and international events, alongside hosting her own workshops, rope jams, and kinky festivals.
Her tying style melds body manipulation, power dynamics, semenawa, and a soft yet precise approach. Drawing from her dance background and extensive involvement in the kinky community, she incorporates various influences, styles, and perspectives into her rope work.
In her teachings, she's committed to sharing her expertise as a smaller rigger, emphasizing bottom education, safety, and the art of establishing emotional connections through ropes.
Catherine began her journey with Shibari over four years ago and has since developed a practice that blends physical artistry with deep emotional exploration. With a 15-year background in ballet, her approach to rope modeling is shaped by a profound body awareness and a love for aesthetics. Much like in ballet, she is mostly interested in the interplay of strength and softness, and to the grace found in moments of intensity and vulnerability.
Catherine is drawn to explore beauty in suffering, embracing discomfort and confronting hard emotions rather than turning away from them. She sees an incredible power in surrendering to what is difficult, allowing pain to transform into something meaningful and beautiful. Through this process, she invites herself and her partner to step into an honest, raw connection that goes far beyond the physical act of tying.
