Hashira Techniques Level 2: Flow and Transition

  • Daruma Neukölln, Berlin Germany (map)

with Ztella, Aja & Vik

Join us for an immersive two-day workshop where we build upon the foundational skills acquired in the Introduction to Hashira class. This class delves deeper into the art of Hashira, emphasising full suspensions and inversions. While Hashira suspensions often involve fixing someone to a pole, which can seem static, this class will teach you techniques to introduce more movement and fluidity. Participants will explore a variety of shapes and techniques off the ground, enhancing their ability to create dynamic sessions on a hashira.

You will learn:

  • Techniques for managing multiple uplines smoothly on a hashira

  • How to tie the model into the hashira and release them for dynamic

    movements around the pole

  • Advanced harnesses tailored for hashira suspensions

  • Methods to adapt these harnesses to different models and situations

  • Expansion of classic shapes and introduction of new forms

  • Guidance and suggestions for creating your own sessions and incorporating

    hashira into your play

  • People modeling/bottoming should have experience being suspended upright, in inversions, and on a hashira. Further, models/bottoms need a good understanding of, and ability to communicate, their feelings and limits. They should know how to check for motor nerve damage in their hands and be able to communicate if issues arise.

People tying should have prior experience tying on hashira. They should be able to tie safe upper body harnesses that function for the people they are tying in upright as well as inverted suspensions. They must be able to communicate clearly and calmly with the person they are tying and know their own limits.

If you have not attended Ztella's Introduction to Hashira workshop at Daruma, please contact us, and tell us about your experience / education with Hashira.

Switching between two people is welcome in this class, just keep in mind that you may have less time for each exercise or need to alternate exercises.

  • Aja
shibari lover, professional domme and artist; I started to dig into kink and the art of tying around 2 years ago and immediately felt drawn to pursue the exploration of this world.

I have been modelling for workshops for quite some time now and have gathered experience in understanding how to read my body’s signals and limits and how to communicate them effectively.

    Vik

I've been modeling a bit over 4 years now. During my first interaction with rope, I was surprised how much home I felt. It has been quite an impactful companion of my personal journey, discovering and getting more in touch with my (authentic) self ever since.

I see it as a quite unique tool of non verbal communication, energy exchange and co-creation. While being tied, I allow a different self to show up. One that connects to a more feminine side and channels strength and sexuality through resilience and vulnerability. And am fascinated by one's ability to meet and see each other on a deeper, more primal level. I love these raw and trustworthy conversations. Embracing emotions and accepting features that were suppressed or not considered very human or beautiful before. To me it is a way of art. Whether captured visually or in a form of self expression.

When people ask me : “Why do you tie?” or “What do you love about it?” I often say: “I will make a podcast someday.” I guess I just try to do more of what makes me feel like me.
