Daruma is a year old, and we still haven’t had an opening party!

We started building our beautiful space and community on November 1st 2023, and opened our doors for our first jam on January 2nd 2024. The intention for a proper event to open the space was always there, but somehow it was never quite the right time.

So, one year on we’re celebrating the ‘opening’ of the space and marking our first anniversary at the same time.

The event will begin with a shibari & live music performance by Ali, Gestalta & Saara at 7.45pm, and will be followed by a little party—where our famous alcohol free cocktail bar might just be making a reappearance. We will also have a small part of the room available for play/tying towards the end of the evening.

We’d love it if you could help us co-create the atmosphere of this event by dressing up a little. Our theme is “The Moon”—think ethereal, silver, shadows, shimmers & reflections—we won’t be super strict on this dress code, but would be very happy if you make a little effort.

Arrival is strictly between 7.30pm and 7.45pm—no admission will be possible outside of this timeframe.
