Backbends are a challenging position in ropes that are both loved and hated by many.
In this workshop we will zoom in on the anatomy of the spine with a strong focus on backbends (both from a top and a bottom perspective). You will learn about the spine, how it functions and how you can more safely move someone or be moved into a backbend. We will cover a backbend position in ropes and give you time to explore.
This workshop will be quite technical on a body-level rather than a rope level. It is most suitable for people of intermediate level (it will be helpful to be able to tie a chest harness and an upline. However, exercises can be adapted to different levels and attending without participating in the hands-on exercises that involve rope is possible.

Helpful to be able to tie a chest harness that loads from the back, and an upline, but all exercises can be adapted to suit different levels.
