Tying in Movement

  • Daruma Neukölln, Berlin Germany (map)

with Soptik & Sansei

We are used to tying our partners while on the floor, as our rope bottom's stability becomes an easy task and we can usually stay connected just by being close. However, when we stand up, we get stiff and easily disconnected.

Let's start to move, both of us. Our tying can be like a dance – playful, sadistic, or dominant. The choice is yours.

We will work on tying and moving at the same time. You will learn to tie in dynamic ways, move your partner and move together, and how to control his stability, the rope, and the whole tie.

  • Peter Soptik and Sansei's approach to ropes is about a deep connection between two people. Their tying and teaching includes classical patterns, aesthetics and also deep surrender to the core, dark emotions in semenawa and existing for each other. Through kinbaku they pursue things they are passionate about. Among the different flavours they tie and teach are objectification and exposure, from shame to humiliation, and some niche topics such as neck rope and arm binders.
