There is always an assortment of odds and ends left over after I’ve finished cutting and treating ropes, and keeping a few of these pieces in your rope bag is useful for when you’re in need of just a tiny bit more rope to finish a tie. I like to have a few ropes at various different lengths in my bag so I’m prepared for a variety of different situations.

This is the same rope that I sell in 8 meter lengths: loose lay, single ply, 6mm, Ogawa rope, imported from Japan and hand treated in Germany. This is the rope that I prefer to use personally, treated in the same way that I treat my own ropes.

A soft, delicate, golden coloured jute that's light and flighty right from the first use. It requires treatment to maintain it – if treated well, the rope should polish up and become silky over time; it may also darken in colour a little.
